Quintessential Palm Springs restaurant for date night, girls night or family dinner! My family made a reservation for 5 pm on a Friday night for 11 people. My grandparents attend regularly, so when we walked through the doors several servers and the manager greeted them with a hug. We were immediately brought to our table outside and chips and salsa arrived quickly. We also ordered the chunky guacamole and it was perfect! My husband and I shared the mixed fajitas (shrimp, steak and chicken) and he ordered a blended strawberry margarita. Everyone in the group enjoyed their drinks and commented that they were STRONG! The fajitas were a large portion, perfect to share. The warmth and hospitality of the staff makes this place totally worth it, but the outdoor music and later live band made it so much fun! People come and go from their tables to join the dance floor.

Casuelas has the table set for a perfect evening no matter what your situation. Date night? Check. Family outing with the kiddos? Check. Looking for live entertainment? Checkmate Wonderful food (add the Albondigas Soup as a starter) and varied. A lunchtime surprise was just how great the burger was even though I seldom ignore one of the combination plates which includes their world-class Chile Relleno. Live entertainment provided the owner occurs daily with no cover charge...and it's not just an entertainer singing to tracks, but almost always a full (and talented) band. Simply one of the nicest patios in the entire Coachella Valley.

Two of us had lunch here recently on a quiet Wednesday. The restaurant is quite large with a music stage in the front for parties etc. They have plenty of outdoor seating along with indoor. The decor is pretty typical. What stood out to us was the quality of the food. It was fantastic. I had a chicken burrito "wet" style with Verde sauce poured over it. The chicken inside was absolutely delicious. I wish more places made their chicken this flavorful. My wife had the enchiladas suizas - also fantastic. The salsa that came with the complimentary chips was very mild. You can ask for some "hotter" salsa - and it is very good (and much spicier of course). Service was excellent. When I ordered the wet burrito, our waiter recommended the Ranchero sauce. But I asked for Verde. He brought me some of the Ranchero sauce anyway (I sensed it was from pride) on the side and it was also very delicious and I would order that in a second. Overall - great lunch!

We love everything at Casuela's Cafe!! The chips and salsa always hits the spot! We usually split a 3 item combo with all items containing carne asada or shredded beef. The flan is a perfect dessert, not overly sweet.

This was a great authentic restaurant to have some good Mexican food. My husband and I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and shared the 2 cheese enchilada plate. I decided to add a mango margarita. Everything was flavorful and filling. Service was good and our server was so friendly. Ambiance was well lit, lots of decor, snd plenty of seating indoors and outdoor.

Love coming here food is excellent every time. I've come been coming here since I was in high school with parents now 32 I still come back with dates or simply friends. There's ALWAYS live music it feels every time I've been here there's been a band or performers. Love the margaritas big & tasty. The staffs awesome laid back funny & very often make the best suggestions. Food is hot & ready on the spot comes out smoky most of the time. The place is beautiful Mexican traditional style and so is the styling of the place atmosphere. Love love love coming here

One of the best choices in this part of town. They are very professional and for sure provide a lot (huge) amount of food at a fair price but the dining experience has been exceptional. YELP SHORT ANSWER: Yes please visit and try to sit outside, check for live music I believe Friday to Sunday which is mariachi style and a lot of fun. LOCATION: Very nice once you figure it out. They have some of the funky 111 parking strips roads but a huge lot in the rear of the building which is where the entry is and the best option. Their access road is a 2-way so easier than some of the other bad city planning roads we see. FACILITY: Indoors is very traditional and nothing fancy but very nice and super clean all the time. MENU: Normal lunch and dinner, about that you you'd expect. But ask about things you are not sure of. The staff here has all been there a long time and know their menus well. FOOD PREP: Very good, always. FOOD QUALITY: Excellent and never over spiced or salty. LIBATIONS: When we've sat outside we have sampled their margaritas and they were not too sweet but just right. WAITSTAFF: Very kind, does seem more of a locals place but maybe it is on a tourist map. If it is too busy we just pass and wait to enjoy is the shoulder seasons. OVERALL VALUE: This is not inexpensive but what is in 2024. Two lunches is $50 with tip and no beverages but it is worth it. TIP: If you order correctly and enjoy leftovers, the portions are huge and plan your order/s accordingly to enjoy the next day.

Love to get Mexican food here- my go to is the shrimp tacos. Their chips are so crunchy and fresh and guac has great flavor. From ordering to the food arriving at the table service is quick and the waitress was attentive. And they have a variety of great margaritas. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Parking- plenty of parking in the parking lot
